Display

The iPhone 11 features the same Liquid Retina 6.1″ IPS LCD screen with 326ppi and a massive notch on the top as the iPhone 10.

The actual screen resolution is 828 x 1,792 pixels, which isn’t horrible, but it’s also not particularly high. Pictures and movies appear fine on this screen, the text is clear enough, and we didn’t mind the 326 ppi density most of the time. However, if you compare an iPhone 11 Pro to an iPhone 11, you’ll see that the iPhone 11 has a lower-quality display.

Another issue the iPhone 11 screen lacks is HDR10 or Dolby Vision support; it appears that the contrast ratio necessary by these HDR video standards can only be achieved with an OLED display.
The touch input uses the same 120Hz refresh rate as the other recent iPhones, resulting in zero-like touch latency. However, the screen refresh rate is still limited to 60Hz.

Performance and MemoryiPhone 11

The Apple iPhone 11, like the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, is powered by Apple’s latest A13 Bionic technology. The A13 uses a 7nm+ technology and features 8.5 billion transistors. The chipset outperforms the A12 in terms of speed and efficiency.

The Apple A13 Bionic processor has a hexa-core architecture with 2×2.65 GHz Lightning high-performance cores and 4×1.8 GHz Thunder efficiency CPU cores. Lightning cores are 20% quicker and 30% more efficient than standard cores. Apple has given its processing cores some cool names once again.

All iPhone 11 models have 4GB of RAM. There are rumors that the new ISP has dedicated 2GB of RAM because it would be nearly difficult to do what it does without it, but it is built into the A13 processor, so this will stay a rumor until someone reverse engineers its intricate architecture.

CameraiPhone 11 camera

The iPhone 11 has the same wide and ultrawide 12MP cameras on the rear as the Pro models, but no zoom snapper. It also features the same selfie setup on the front. As a result, the iPhone 11 features a brand-new dual-camera system with 12MP sensors. Large 1.4m pixels, a wide 26mm f/1.8 lens, optical image stabilization (OIS), and Dual Pixel AF are all features of the main shooter. This camera has Night Mode, and Deep Fusion should receive an update as well.

The selfie camera has also been upgraded. Face ID and portraits can all be captured with the 3D TOF camera. However, the selfie camera has been upgraded to a 12MP sensor with a wider 23mm f/2.2 lens, up from 30mm on prior iPhones. Although Apple preserved the original view, if you photograph in portrait mode, it will simulate a 32mm lens view and save a 7MP selfie, whereas spinning the iPhone in landscape mode will use the full 12MP resolution and FoV. This view has a virtual switch, so you can change it manually even though it is somewhat automated.

Rest of specs

The latest iPhones always come with the most recent version of Apple iOS, and the iPhone 11 series is no exception. Although we got and installed the iOS 13.1 updates on September 24, they all run on iOS 13 out of the box. The iPhone 11 has a 3,110 mAh battery, which is somewhat more than the XR’s 2,940 mAh and is similar to the new iPhone 11 Pros. The phone supports Qi wireless charging and, thanks to USB Power Delivery support, can be charged quickly with 18W adapters.
